With Teamwork

Support workers / PA’s work on their own initiative or within a team. All workers are given on-going training and also have regular supervision, to constantly enable them to offer the best support possible.

Although some of our Support workers work one on one with individuals we are always working in a team, this could be with other support workers or the individuals/ families. We also work alongside and in partnership with other organisations e.g. Social Care, NHS and Education.

Select Support - Support workers / PA’s are able to work on their own, as well as in a team with opportunity to train.

Each individual we support may have one or two Support Workers. We try to match support workers to individuals, who may have similar interests, although we do try to make this happen, we always provide them with a support worker who best fits their support needs. We believe by doing this it provides the best outcome on the individuals and can teach people different communication skills other than having the same support worker every day; also by doing this it means our Support workers can provide something different for the individuals to do on a daily basis, this could involve helping them to clean their own living space, go shopping or attending activities.
